I'll work on the shading with respect to the line. The missile I'll fix as well. I actually wanted to compare the actual missile's size to the launcher hence the pixel sized line for the missile stand in. Back on the first page I've got a shot of the underwater hull from the bow. There's actually is...

Ok, I tweaked the proportions of the ship. Should be more in line with the real thing. Also made some mods to the Type 360 radar.

It's a little open to interpretation as the picture I'm using isn't a perfect profile shot but it's pretty close. The disparity is pretty consistent through the entire drawing so it's not just the angle of the shot. So, aside from the height issues which, hey mine has the same issues, the exact same...

This is the best picture I have of a Type 056 in profile so I used it for some comparisons. http://i.imgur.com/4RgCMIl.png As you can see from the comparison the bow, the helicopter deck level, and the top of the bridge all look to be about 3 pixels low on average. However the main deck height looks...

The Type 056's are very low slung ships. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/43/Type_056_corvette_in_ShangHai.jpg/800px-Type_056_corvette_in_ShangHai.jpg Hi Bezo, From bsmart's earlier comment, those are doors for torpedo tubes... Ad The torpedo doors are monolithic, not bifold, a...

That makes more sense. Didn't realize that font sizes weren't a constant. Learn something new every day.

On a separate note, what would we need to do about starting a Chinese ship part sheet?

I dont know anything about modern Chinese ships Well that makes two of us. Assuming you're using MS Paint, the size is different that stated on the template. Top text is size 10 and the lower text is size 6-7 depending on the letters Well that seems counter productive. The text is antialiased which...

My next update. 1) Minor mod to the FL-3000N launcher, added a maintenance door near the upper bearing. 2) Finished out the aft mast with radar and comms. 3) Flipped the order of the YJ-83 launchers so the fore fires starboard and the aft one to port. 4) Worked on the 30mm cannon station. 5) Created...

I see your point about the RAM. I still think a manned, not automated, 25-30mm mount isn't a bad idea.

Got to agree with the research being a lot of the fun. Researching the Type 056 has been very interesting and as I learn more about it I want to make the drawing as accurate as I possibly can. Another fun thing is that the modern Chinese Navy isn't as prolific as other's so I'm having to draw a lot ...
