So I started drawing this approximately 18 months ago, then life intervened and it got lost in the shuffle - I'm just about to have another crack at it but I thought I'd put it up for Comment/RFI input before I recommitted and got too much further into the process. NB: I've linked in a larger image ...

Necro-post [actually - a resurrection of sorts] After a considerable hiatus, I've only recently started getting stuck back into pixel art and SB in general. Contributions won't be thick and fast, but I am pottering away on a couple of things that interest me [and hopefully you also!]. I'll be recast...

Based on the idea that the original image may have been skewed out of true by the process of digitisation I went back to the beginning and sourced the best version of the HMS Superb plan I could find, scaled it based off the prototypes' LWL spec [550ft/1100px] and voila!. What is shown below is the ...

When the image is scaled as accurately as I can manage I get 16 pixels deck-to-deck. To double-check my accuracy I overlayed my scaled plan with Portsmouth Bill/KW Vestergaard's SB drawing of HMS Jamaica and whilst the deck heights line up and the size of major components such as gun turrets are onl...

Thanks Gents, I have access to the digital version of 'British Cruisers' as an e-book but unfortunately, the plan of Swiftsure you refer to is too poor-a-quality to be of use (rubbish scanning quality when digitised). The superb image is however workable and I should be able to adapt the differences...

My understanding of what I've seen/read led me to believe that whilst the Minotaurs and Tigers were in the Crown Colony/Fiji-class lineage, there were sufficient design differences in key areas such as overall displacement, superstructure design, armament layout etc for them to be considered at leas...
