P.S. is there something you can do by means of shading to show the lounge in front of the funnel has a curved front?
I did try to space the window frames to show the curved form but now you mention it, it needs a bit more...

EDIT: Very pleased to have kicked off the 150th page of this illustrious thread! :P

Another Cunard ship, the Alaunia of 1960 was built for the US/Canada cargo services. The Alaunia and sistership Andania were later transferred to the Brocklebank line in 1969 (by than a Cunard subsidiary), the transfer was because of containerization of US and Canadian ports, and in 1971 both ships sold ending their day as Hong Qi 108 and Hong Qi 107 under the Chinese flag.

Very nice indeed. Has a real '60's feel to the design.

Excellent work, I like that late 50s/early 60s flair too.

Just been reading through this huge and impressive thread,
Is this a thread for collecting all merchant ships or just ones that don't have a thread of there own ? if so should I repost my ferry's here or keep them separate ?

Thanks JSB

Edit Well here a link I will keep separate as I intend to do more of them http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewto ... =12&t=5681 Just much easier to find references to than WW2 warships......... (and lots of pics don't know how some of you find the stuff to draw such nice warships, If you have any you don't want to draw ;) )

I had my own separate thread for Ferries of Portsmouth and have since decided to post all future ferry drawings here. The shipbucket forum is mainly dedicated to warships of the world but has of late extended it's reach in other directions including armour, planes, buildings, spaceships etc...
