This should work better. The idea is that the corvette will provide an umbrella for the FACs while they shoot & scoot. The Helo can also be used for targeting, something useful, since the area contains many islands off the coast, making for lots of places to hide... In the RZM, the Bellonas are commonly referred to as "Mini-FREMs."

Allegedly, these vessels can carry VL ASROC as well, but beyond a few tests, this has never been done operationally.

Is this too many STIR for a vessel this size? I know that 2 should be okay, but three is rather unusual, though hopefully not impossible. Also, my understanding is that STIR can be used to direct the gun as well, correct?

you will need only 2 STIR's, both facing an different direction. look at the karel doorman class or the sigma series ships...
also, there is an newer drawing of the STIR available, look at the newest drawing of the karel doorman class for them.

Alright, this should work better. Thanks for the tip on the replacement STIR, and location behind the mast, though I'm going to keep both forward of it, one of which will mainly be for the gun. Illuminators are something one can never have enough of in AAW platforms, after all.

your aft stir is blocked by your funnel and harpoons, and it is still of an outdated drawing. also, I suggest to move the STIRs a bit higher.
and one last thing: you have an turret with guidance (dart) but still need an extra STIR to guide it? I don't think so. 2 will be enough, as the SMART-S can do some guidance too.

Thanks! I'll fix those when I get back to work. The Stir on the Frigate looked like the ones on your Dutch parts sheet, so I used those, but I will examine in more detail when I return.

Thanks; Looks Sharp! :D
Which version of STIR is that?
I'm interested in this one:

STIR-IK Mk2 is Thales Nederland’s latest naval fire
control tracking and illuminating radar. STIR-IK Mk2 is an
evolution of STIR-IK, a member of the proven and widely
trusted STIR family of fire control tracking systems.
STIR-IK Mk2 supports gun and missile fire control.
STIR-IK Mk2 performs automatic target acquisition and
tracking with simultaneous Continuous Wave illumination
for guidance of semi-active homing missiles such as
ESSM. STIR-IK Mk2 performs kill assessment and makes
a valuable contribution to classification and identification
of threats. In addition, the system can be used as a
surveillance sensor, even under radar silence conditions.
STIR-IK Mk2 overcomes the tracking problems often
associated with low-flying missiles. By applying dual radar
bands (I- and K-band), and complemented by EO sensors,
STIR-IK Mk2 realizes extremely high track continuity,
even in littoral, high-clutter and jamming scenarios.
STIR-IK Mk2 offers low life cycle cost and high
operational availability, thanks to the application of
solid-state I- and K-band radar transmitters. These
modular units have a high reliability and offer ‘graceful
degradation’: In case of malfunction, performance is only
reduced in steps, there is no single point of failure. This
allows repairs to be postponed until after the mission.
During day, night and radar silence conditions detection,
observation and tracking are enabled by the latest
electro-optical components. STIR-IK Mk2 employs a third
generation focal plane array MWIR-camera, colour and
black & white TV cameras and an eye-safe (class 1M)
Laser Range Finder.

Would there be any benefit to this STIR with the larger sized antenna arrangement of the STIR 2.4?

as far as I know, all STIR versions look the same, but you should ask miho for that.
also, why have you drawn 2 at the front again? you need only 2, but it is useless to let them both face the front. (btw, I have done some quich research, as far as I know the SMART-S is also used as gun guidance.)
