Arachne class Light Cruiser (REDONE)

Thanks to the doctrines learned from the Kriegsmarine, the Arachne class light cruisers were built to support fleet action but they have the capability to raid convoys if necessary, thus it lacked armour only 4 inches at the thickest on belt armour and just 2 inches of deck armour but it had the speed, 32 knots thanks to her diesel engines. Her class also had 16 six inch cannons, six 610 mm torpedo tubes, eight 100 mm anti-air guns, and twenty four 25 mm anti-air guns so if she or any of her sister ships came across an enemy convoy, she will destroy it with relative ease. Rossiya built twenty five of these speedy cruisers.

I have reworked the Arachne-class cruiser again, it now has four main turrets with four guns each. Belt rmour has been reduced from 6 inches to 4 inches. Changes to her torpedo tubes and small caliber anti-air guns remain.

Since when have the Admiral Hipper been considered well armored? The Admiral Hipper class sacrificed lots of armor for speed. American cruisers are by far the most heavily armored cruisers in the world with armor belt of 6 inches (CA) and 3-5"(CL.)

You mean the Italian ones. ;) The Zara class was unquestioned champion in terms of armor before and in times of war. Only the US Des Moines class was more heavy armored but it was build couple of years after the war.

I would probably drop belt armor from 4-inches to 3 and deck armor from 2-inches to 1.5 which will help reduce displacement.

These are now much more reasonable and much more likely to be built although I see the quad 6-inch turret having teething troubles.

Kämpfer class destroyer
The Kämpfer class destroyers were the mainstay destroyer of the Rossiyan Navy during the late 1930s. It was to replace the by then obsolete Istrebitel' class that could not be modernized anymore. This new class of destroyer was surprisingly "normal" as it had four 5 inch guns, six torpedo tubes and two depth charge racks. It is not armoured at all. It's top speed is 33 knots and in change of design, the Kämpfer class destroyers are powered by turbo-electric turbine engines instead of diesel engines. They are manned by a crew of 175. Rossiya built a hundred of these, sixty for the navy, twenty for the National Naval Guard and twenty for the Coast Guard. It was a well liked destroyer and the who served on it loved it.

Rossiyan National Guard
During World War 1, Rossiyan Military Command realized that when the army, mountain corps, navy, marine corps and later air force was fighting in France, the homeland was severely undermanned and was practically undefended. So in 1920, it was decided that a National Guard was needed. In sense it was like the US National Guard however, it is under the Federal government and not the state however the states can call upon them if there is a problem such as a natural disaster or large scale civil unrest. The main purpose of the Rossiyan National Guard is to defend the nation when the military is offshore. The National Guard has three branches, the National Land Guard, National Naval Guard and the National Aerial Guard. Initially the Rossiyan National Guard was operate with weapons and equipment the military regard obsolete or second rate. However after 1935, that policy was changed and the Rossiyan National Guard received the same equipment the main military got. This led to the nicknames "Rossiya's Defense Military" and "Streitkräfte's Doppelganger". As World War 2 progressed, the Rossiyan National Guard stood guard protecting the Republic while the Streitkräfte (Name of Rossiyan Armed Forces) fought to preserve freedom

On the Kampfer's I would dump the armor. It's too thin to do any good and these ships are going to be tight enough without it.
