Royal Vestrician Federation, or simply Vestricia is a sovereign island and maritime nation in East Asia. It was formed after the alliance between Japan, the United Kingdom, and the ethnic Verdanian and Vestrician government (two are in another dimension). It is located inside the territory of Japan in all directions and bordering Taiwan in the Southeast, and both share their exclusive economic zone and Air Defense Identification Zone alongside the two nations.

This country consists of one island located at Sagami Bay, 40 kilometers away from Tokyo, the capital of Japan, and 3 kilometers west of Yokosuka. Villan Imperial City, the capital city, is located on that island, along with West Yokosuka Special Administrative Region, the former capital and largest city that is an artificial island before it was perfectly joined and connected with the island of Villan.

Aside from the island, there are also two archipelagoes that complement the land area of this country. The Sakuramine Archipelago, the largest archipelago, is located about 150 kilometers southeast of Okinawa and consisted of 30 islands. It is the place where the current largest city, the Sakuramine Freeport City is located. In addition, this archipelago has the largest number of cities and municipalities combined, which is considered to be the mainland of Vestricia. On the other hand, Iwate Archipelago is located just 22 kilometers east of Taiwan and consisted of 21 islands (16 of which are administered by the government and 5 under the Taiwanese government).

History
• On August 5, 2018, a movement consisting of 6 prodigal high school students was summoned to another world as they lost during the storm. That another world is composed of people with the ability to control the ships(mainly WW2 warships) themselves. Those students, with different intelligence and power, use their abilities to destroy or escape from any hostile fleet with the use of the technology they got from the three of them who were originally born in that world.

• One week after, the students landed on Sakuramine Archipelago. They plan the way to capture the archipelago strategically and tactically. At the same time, they formed an alliance between the French Casablanca Fleet and Royal Nation to defeat and capture the 6th, 7th, and 8th Fleet at Sakuramine Lagoon.

• After the Battle of Sakuramine ensued, the Crown Princess of Verdania issued a revolution or rebellion against the current coup government who controlled the country. At the same time, a task force consisting of the Royal Navy's Carrier Task Force and JMSDF Escort Flotilla was dispatched to help and support their movement. After a series of battles, the prodigies successfully toppled down the government and reinstalled all the monarch-in-exile in power.

• On September 24, 2018, the foundation of the country was formed in Villan Imperial Palace after the founding and current monarch declared its independence from the treacherous coup government. On the same day, the Constitution made by United Kingdom's Lord of the House and Verdanian second princess Musashi Verdania was also ratified. However, because of the sinking of the two empires, the government and the people were evacuated and refuge in the real world.

• Three months after the formation of West Yokosuka Special Administrative Region of Japan, the United Nations ratified a treaty to recognize its sovereignty as a nation, All nations agree and follow the treaty, however, the United States, China, and Russia disagree and take an opposite stance against them.

The ship prefix RVS (Royal Vestrician Ship) was used until two months after its foundation, at which time RVFSDN ships started using the prefix HVMS (His Vestrician Majesty Ship) to restore the old traditions in another dimension documented by the Ministry of Maritime Defense. As of 2022, the RVFSDN operates a total of ships (excluding minor auxiliary vessels), including five aircraft carriers, 8 guided missile battleships, 2 guided missile battlecruisers, 3 guided missile cruisers, 12 Aegis destroyers, 24 guided-missile destroyers, 20 guided missile frigates, 23 corvettes, 20 attack submarines, eight amphibious transport docks, eight training vessels and a fleet of various auxiliary ships.

The RVFSDN has five primary naval districts/bases for its fleet:
- Fleet Base Sagami, located at Yoshida Ward, West Yokosuka SAR
- Fleet Base Villan, located at Kinatagawa Ward, Villan Imperial City;
- Fleet Base Sakuramine, located at Sakuramine City, Sakuramine Prefecture;

- Fleet Base Iwate, located at Higashi(East) Hirashima City, Iwate Prefecture.

In addition, two other bases are home to the majority of the RVFSDN's minor war vessels:

Haruna-class cruisers are the latest class of guided missile cruisers and the first of the kind to equip AN/SPY-8 6-Dimensional Super Active Electronically Scanned Array Radar overseas and license-built Type O5B (based on M51 Submarine-Launch Ballistic Missile) on surface vessels. Its primary role is to be deterrence against any hostile countries who want to invade any Japanese territory as they ratified and amended Article 9 of their constitution to replace the country from a pacifist stance to defensive deterrence and armed neutrality.

How did it get by the Vestrician and Japanese governments is that there is another dimension rift war between real-world against some country in another dimension as same as Vestrician origin. IJN Haruna in another dimension(in a world like Arpeggio of Blue Steel but ordinary ones) was consecutively converted into JDS Haruna (helicopter destroyer) and later JS Haruna(SPY-8 Ballistic missile destroyer because Article 9 had amended in order to possess offensive weapons needed for defensive deterrence and armed neutrality stance of Japan during and after the Third World War possibly in another timeline). It brings to Earth to disarm the nuclear missile installed on the vessel. However, the United Nations and Russia (China didn't argue since they are defeated during the Sino-Vestrician Naval War) were alarmed by the suspicion of using this ship as propaganda to rearm Japan.

This class has three ships namely DDGN-141 Haruna (lead ship), DDGN-142 Hiei, and DDGN-143 Oonami (twin sister of Haruna). Haruna and Hiei still inherited the same pennant numbers from the previous ones. However, Oonami inherited the Kirishima namesake since in the timeline I made for this development, there are major events that happened in the Oonaminoike in Mt. Kirishima that decide to name it. Haruna and Oonami are twin sisters because it was laid up and launched in the same place at the same time. On the other hand, Hiei suffers from cancellation, returning, and delays because of the bankruptcy of the shipyard where it is built. It takes time for the government to find another firm to allow it to build it.

Events:
• On March 26(in Earth Standard time), IJN Haruna was converted to JDS Haruna and JS Haruna, respectively, during its repair at Kure Naval Arsenal in another dimension. In fear of making it a huge issue and scandal among the Ministry faction and to protect the reputation of the Anti-War faction(which she belong), she make a deal to Akashi to hide it in an area where anyone doesn't know of in exchange of researching her ship herself , especially the weapon and system for a possible replication.

• About a week later, it was discovered by Luna Kagurazaka (Vestrician IJN/HVMS Ashigara) and Alexandra Roosevelt (Vestrician USS/HVMS Lexington) and used as a ticket to enter the Kure and talk to the Kongou sisters. They inspect the ship and discovered that it has an unidentified ICBM or Nuclear Missile onboard. IJN Kongou decided, with hesitation and fear, to send her in exile to the Holy French Republic(which at that time was ruled by 2nd Force de Raid Squadron leader Jeanne de Richelieu (Jean Bart)) to disarm the ship. They set sail with IJN Akashi and Nosaki that same night.

• Without any means of equipment to disarm the missile, Jeanne decided to transfer the ship to the Earth, mainly to West Yokosuka with the permission of the government. However, during the call between the Vestrician and Japanese governments, it was intercepted and intervened by calls from the United Nations Security Council and the US President, threatening them that if that ship landed on any ports in Japan and Vestricia, they will retaliate. Both governments compromised to settle this by giving them an opportunity to inspect the ship with representatives from both parties.

• After the nuclear missile disarmament, she was transferred to JMSDF and assigned to new escort flotilla led by her long lost sister Kirishima Kanna (a person with a mysterious background that was a reason for having both the Sino-Vestrician War and Inter-Dimensional War/Imperial Palace Guard Heroine Princess, Emperor's legal advisor, Officially but not well-known Deputy Prime Minister of Japan at the age of 17). Along with the rest of the flotilla, she engaged in different maritime and international exercises.

I doubt you have space for ballistic missile and Hangar, and the weight of ballistic missiles

I doubt you have space for a nuclear reactor of that size. and all it's weight of shielding and generators and so on.

It is not a half bad design, if it's a more conventional design with no ballistic missiles, just those 112 cell VLS.

Well, you're not wrong about that. It is true that nuclear reactors are very huge that can't be fitted to any destroyers or cruisers of this size. However, in my world were chosen to be more advanced, radical, novel, and efficient in many ways unlike what we have today, there are people who proposed, and tested successful technologies that are very effective in terms of practicality and efficiency. The nuclear reactors that are used in this design (well in the future maybe if some mad scientist can invent them) are smaller design with safety and practical features that has the same power output as what A1B Reactors can produce. Those nuclear reactors (I didn't name them yet) are made for this when oil is permanently depleted and do with any of the alternatives like nuclear or any other means. Japan has nuclear plants, thus they make that as an advantage for making and using that(although in my story timeline for this vessel, China did it first to modernize their Type 055 vessels).

About the nuclear missile, I don't know how to explain that. I'm only thinking at that time that because of a beam of 12m (for Triomphant Classes), they can be equipped with the vessels. I also think about spaces on the hangar, but I think that because I had a 24m wide beam, they can fit two helos just like Arleigh Burke(VLS in the middle then two separate hangars) or Zumwalt(which has a 24m beam but no two separate hangars because of Mk 57 VLS?).

Also, WW3 happened at the vessel's timeline around 2014 when Crimean War escalated to European War then China attack Taiwan(2014-2020). In the span of 10 years after the war, many can happen.

Naganami-class destroyers are the latest class of guided-missile destroyers of the Royal Vestrician Federation Self-defense Navy. It has a strong resemblance to Haruna-class cruisers since it is specifically designed to shield, imitate, and interdict the ship from tracking and locating the Haruna-class by any hostile ships. It is the only ship in the original navy to equip phased array type on every major radar and electronic countermeasures system.

Development

The development of this class was, based on the timeline I made in my mind and to the story that I made, IJN Haruna in another dimension(in a world like Arpeggio of Blue Steel but ordinary ones) was consecutively converted into JDS Haruna (helicopter destroyer) and later JS Haruna(SPY-8 Ballistic missile destroyer because Article 9 had amended in order to possess offensive weapons needed for defensive deterrence and armed neutrality stance of Japan during and after the Third World War possibly in another timeline). Thus, the Royal Vestrician Federation government (a country formed consisting of shipgirls and other world refugees origin in the artificial island in West Yokosuka) decide to safeguard the vessels from any harm. The building of this class is the answer to that.

Design

The design of this vessel derived from the Haruna-class destroyers combined with a 30dx frigate main mast(since Japan build the first Mogami-class earlier than the real timeline). The 155mm gun was installed to imitate the railgun installed in Haruna. It was also equipped with 48-cells VLS and CIWS installed from the same ship (one CIWS was disarmed and shipped to Japan for research and production). It was also equipped with Mobile Anti-Mine Decoy Countermeasure System used in JS Ise(modular mission).

It has 10 ships in the class, named from the lead ship of the well-known destroyer classes during WW2 (except for Akizuki and Ayanami which has their own class). They are commissioned and dispatched to another world to escort JS Haruna back to Japan.

HVMS Jeanne d'Arc is a guided-missile destroyer of the Royal Vestrician Federation Self-defense Navy. She is a downgraded and conventional version of the Haruna-class guided missile cruisers.

Design
Speaking technically, this ship is comparable to Type 055 destroyers of the People's Liberation Army Navy of China in terms of the structure, armaments, and arrangements. However, unlike the Type 055, she is equipped with all radar and processing system that is used on Haruna.
