Picked one of these up for $110 from classicarms.us.

Haven't got to shoot it but love the feel of it, very light and handy. Something tells me it won't be as fun to shoot though.

Can you actually get 8mm austrian ammunition from there for the Steyr-Mannlicher?

Well in fairness I bought the Steyr two weeks ago, it just got here Tuesday because of shipping and whatnot.

The 8x56r ammunition for the M95 isn't hard to find but it's very expensive. The commercial plant of Prvi Partizan in Serbia makes 8x56r ammo but it costs $20 for a box of 20 rounds. I didn't buy this one with the intent on shooting it alot. It also requires the Mannlicher en bloc clips which cost $5each apparently.

My .455 Webely rounds are about $1.00 each, and she's fired a box a year at Christmas since I found her. Now that I'm 'well-funded' I'm going to buy some reloading dies, molds and start cooking my own... so she'll see more firings- 200 rounds a year would be ideal, so the parts all get a good workout. I have no firearm that doesn't get shot on at least a semi-regular basis; turning them into display pieces does them a disservice.

Well where did I say that I was never going to shoot it? All I said was that the shit is expensive so I'm not going to go burn off 1000 rounds at a time like we do with 7.62x54r or .22s. :p

I too have firearms and shoot each one as often as my work allows and also as budget allows. Fortunately I can fire my AR-15 where i work because they use military-grade 5.56. My Glock 36 is .45 ACP so those rounds are relatively inexpensive. And my remington is 12 gauge so those rounds are also easy to come by. None of my firearms are allowed ti sit idle, especially my grandfather's Mauser that he liberated in 1944!

I think I know someone with that version of the Mosin Nagant.

APDAF, you probably know someone with a M91/30, as they are far more common. But I won't say you are wrong, because it is entirely possible that you are correct.

Big 5 sells M91/30s all the time, for example. They're not hard to find at all.
