These are maybe the last photos of the model before transferring to the paint desk. Galley and captains cabin completed, added figure deck edges.
The bridge and some details are checked, confirmed and are 3D-printed in this moment, so new important elements will be added soon.

Looks fantastic (perhaps except the stack ;) ). I'm looking forward to see further updates.

Hehe,
You re right!
I'm working on it too and I hope I will able to replace the whole central superstructure about the end of the year.

The stack. Almost completed, I only need to add some small details.
The ladders will be separate and added in the assembly.
There will be also a door in it at the other side, as on the original ship :)

Central superstructrure with stack and main vent holes.
The speaker will be below them, so the engine sound will come out from the stack and the main vent.
Also You can see the fire control tower is half a deck rised and now have height of two full decks.
This is needed to assure near surface guided fire at all stern angles.
Already sent to be printed.

The Main and auxiliary vents. The huge hole of the main vent will be covered with grate,
which I ordered in photoetched variant, to be more realistic at this scale (1.5mm holes, 0.2mm rods thickness).
Still need a little more detailisation.

Good to see the progress coming along nicely. You have certainly put a lot of work into the details of this ship.

It was hard, because of the lack of reference images, until I found this treasure!

Today I received the bridge, name plates and some deck details successfully printed. I cant wait to see how the bridge will looks, so there is some unpainted photos again :)

Also the stack virtual model is fully finished and ready to print.

Oerlikons received 2mm sector sights. I decided to change a little their position, because mounting them on the 0.6mm raised sight rod is not only nearly impossible, but highly dangerous. So, I hope it is not a big deal with the realism.

I decide to merge the vents with Oerlikon nests platform as a single detail. The work is almost finished there. Here is a few renders of the detail, aligned with the central superstructure and the stack. This was unexpectedly hard work, despite I already had a paper model :)
A few tiny details still must be added, but I hope You can imagine how the finished model will looks.
The semi-opaque triangular mast is only for reference, also the red human figures.

Looking good! Very nice progress and these 3D models are very interesting, certainly showing the details of the design very well.

Cant wait to share! I was unable to work in a workshop these days, so I used the time to prototype the last remaining large part of the ship - main mast with radar room and open bridge. This really changes and finishes the silhouette of the ship. I just wanted to validate the shape and the dimensions, there will be much more 3D-design. Because the mast contains many tiny details, and the radar room houses the radar motor, the main projector and the red and green running lights, so I need to design not only external, but the internal structure too.
I also have another good news for the central superstructure. Everything is printed successfully and is on its way to me. I expect to receive the package at 18.11. and will gladly replace the carton part I already hate! ;)
