The Bristol Bombay was a British troop transport aircraft which could be adapted as medium bomber. It was used both by the Royal Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force, and it's usage was rather limited because it was very obsolete for the standards of the war and was retired from first line duties in 1942 and retired from active duty in 1944.

Only two variants were made:

• -Type 130: The prototype and first production version which flew for the first time in 1935 and entered service with the No.216 Squadron in Egypt in March 1939.
  -Type 130A Bombay Mk.I, AKA Bombay Mk.II: Twin-engined troop transport and medium bomber

Great work on the Bombays Naixoterk

Another aircraft which I did not know that exised before. Well done!

You need to read the 'Biggles' series of books, Odysseus1980. In one of those he is flying around Egypt between the wars, supported by two Bombay aircraft.

Those books may be aimed at the 'teenager' and I read them at that age, but they taught me a lot about the aircraft of WW1 and WW2, and how they were serviced. Lots of different aircraft were used from Percivals by Biggles boss, Biggles flew SE5's and Camel's, Hurricanes and Spitfires, Mosquitos and just about anything else with wings. The other great source for learning about aircraft were the Commando Comics. For young impressionable kids they were great fun, and we would see Me109's and Fw190's fighting anywhere in Europe. It was a Commando Comic that I first came across and fell in love with the Westland Whirlwind fighter, those sleek lines were just marvellous with a set of cannons in the nose.

Now about MiG-21s, i think it defianetly needs and deserves a full scale presentation (that should be in epic porpotions). If none wants to go for it alone, perhaps some joint effort? I could be intressed to participate at some level
