EMD GP30 Factory Variants

The GP30 was the first of the 2nd Generation of EMD 4 Axel Road switchers. It had an EMD 567D3 Turbocharged 16-cylinder engine generating 2,250 horsepower
There were 908 A units built, and 40 B units built. It was produced from 1961. to 1963.

EMD GP28 Factory Variants

The GP28 was another member of EMD's 2nd Generation of 4 Axel Road switchers. It was marketed as a non-turbocharged version of the GP35. It had an EMD 567D1 16-cylinder engine generating 1,800 horsepower
It was meant to be a replacement for the Earlier GP18. There were only 31 A units built. It was produced from 1964. to 1965.
