I am also a longtime lurker over years. Thanks to the Admin for activating my account. A short overview about my interests. My main interests are the soviet navy, mainly the stalin era (pre WWII/WWII/post WWII + 60s/70s/80s)). There must exist dozens of dozens if not hundreds of original ship plans of that era in the archives of the russian navy which have never been released. In my opinion the soviet warships have always been somehow mystical. Of course this is also a result of the absolute secrecy during the soviet era and the cold war. I am happy to be a member of your community and I hope I can learn some tricks from you. I am still a beginner though I draw about a handful ships since last year, most of them are top views of existing side views from this forum here, but still under construction, except one of them which are nearly finished and hope l can upload it within the next couple of days.

Thank you for welcoming me. That's quite a good idea. I already have collected many photos of the St. Petersburg naval museum from the internet, but 'I hope I can once realize a visit to that museum.
