above the skeg is some bit of 2 toned shading left, I don't think that was intentional? in addition, I would still make the dark hull shading a bit lighter, as it stands out a lot still.

Hood, a curved boot topping has been seen on more ships, often when the ship has variable draft. it might be this boot topping was painted as such to have a black waterline at both the loaded and empty conditions.
