According to Spiegel Online http://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/untern ... 33056.html (German only) the Norwegian Navy ordered four Type 212 based submarines at ThyssenKrupp, which are supposed to be in service from 2025 on.
If I understand it correctly, the order is be placed for 2019, probably the year construction will start.

I can confirm that.

The deal is that The Norwegian submarine will be build together with German submarines, with the same systems/equipments, etc. but with an Norwegian twist to it.

A former commander of the Norwegian submarine force say:
"Negative with this, is the submarine limited missile capability. The French company are supposed to be able to give dedicated missile silo on the their submarine design. something that are a must have on a submarine. But overall the submarine is as good as it can get. With good internal space on a submarine that are in the correct size for"
