Depends which bell You want hear... The Australians are not so happy and they want to replace them as soon as possible with less than 10 years service, on the other side the French and Spanish seems to look happy or not so disappointed, last the Germans, I still don't understand why they bought it without the cannon, and probably even then don't know why...

Yes its very strange, here in Spain the Army seems quite happy with them and as far as i know they haven't had any issues with the Tiger actually quite the opposite, they mentioned how well they performed in afghanistan, and also the Australians seem to be the only ones with problems. I also agree with you on the German variant not having a gun, whats the point of an Attack Helicopter without guns.

Different doctrines required different things from it whilst the design was being worked out. Hence the UHT ending up without a gun. As for the Spanish they are the only ones really happy with the Tiger I'd imagine because theirs are currently the most advanced / most developed ones. Only relatively recently has France pledged to upgrade its HAPs to HADs.
