Platypus Class Submarine Rescue Ship

The Platypus Class Submarine Rescue Ship is designed for surface support ship for submarine rescue and deep sea salvage operations. She has a Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV) to rescue the crew of the submarine, as well as the Celudex Marine Rv200 ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle). HMAS Platypus is also equipped with a complete set of submersible rescue devices (DSRS) and include the Celudex Marine Ax400 AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) and the Boccaro LH9 Side Scanning Towed Sonar Pod. She is equipped with the AN/SPS-29A hull-mounted sonar and a landing platform for a Sikorsky HH-60AU(S) Seahawk Helicopter. The ship is equipped with three recompression (hyperbaric) chambers available for diving disease treatment for post-rescue response.

HMAS Platypus was built in Australia by Sumitomo Australia Limited in Port Adelaide, South Australia.

I love seeing Auxilaries and miinor warfare vessels. Youe stedfast class look amazing.

Fantastic work...just one small critique - the F-35B does not have folding wings. That would be the C model.

Banks Class Survey Catamaran

The Banks Class Survey Catamaran primary role is to conduct coastal and deep-water hydro-graphic survey of ports, navigational channels, Economic Exclusive Zones and collection of oceanographic data for defence. Their secondary role would be to perform search & rescue, ocean research and function as hospital ships for casualties. The class was built in Australia at Australian Maritime & Defence Corp at Port of Brisbane, Queensland.

The Ibis Class Survey Motor Vessels are used for hydrographic surveys of the shallow waters around Northern Australia, primarily in the Great Barrier Reef. These vessels operate in pairs when deployed. The class was built in Australia at Australian Maritime & Defence Corp at Port Adelaide, South Australia.
