HMS Caroline was one of the first 'C' class, she and her sister-ships were different in having 4 propellers and three funnels, later ships had two propellers and two funnels.

HMS Colombo was converted during WW2 into anti-aircraft cruiser, and so benefitted from early war experience.

PS: aft 20mm mount look strange, maybe the "british" (late-war) mount for single/twin 20mm ?
