M-44 was the dutch system, which was (according to some) the best working system.
or the british guidance systems, of course.

Looks good*. I'm not 100% sold on the SPS-49, but that's not a make-or-break thing for me.

*Both in concept, and in drawing.

Won't it have some lovely interference coming out of that funnel every-time it sweeps past?

we use special anti-interference fuel oil.

(I would think that the exhaust fumes would be streaming aft though, not up.)

With SeaCat its most capable AA-weapon I wouldn't be too concerned ;)

Prety awesome, but what will make it even more awesomer is the closing in by solid bulwarks of the bridge wings! Railings in that position is so 1930-40s! :D Also I have to agree with Tim regarding the SPS-49. Seems a tad overkill with the weapons systems you've chosen. Maybe use a British-made radar, say Type965, 965M, Plessey AWS-1 thru 5 series? Type967/968 also would work, and then you might create a real, taller mast, thereby eliminating any possibility for emission pollution.

I'll look at maybe a Plessey AWS-5. That might work. I'm just trying to avoid useing the shotgun method of electronics placement and trying to keep to one coherent style, instead of useing USN, RN and Dutch all mish-mashed together. But, WTF, if it works, then it works. Going out to dinner with my wife here in a few though, so it'll have to wait until later.

hnh. Don't like the way that looks. Think I'll stick with the SPS-49.

Anybody have any suggestions on a way to make the Plessey look better than the monstosity of a mast I plonked it on? :/
