I'm sorry to say this, but to me it looks too big as well. :/

After some fiddling, I have come to the conclusion that it is FAR too tall, and I am fixing it while I type this.

Eswube, that is the drawing I used as a starting point, lol!

How exactly did you use that drawing as a starting point, but still ended up with a drawing that's misscaled? It literally has all the dimensions on it...

It's called resizing it and miscalculating, lol.

Here's the revised version:

I still don't have good news for You... :(

I used wheel base as point for calculations (11,7723m) and ended up with this:
[ img ]
11,7723m in FD scale is 260 pixels, On Your drawing it's 276 pixels.

If You look closely at that original line drawing, You'll notice that main rotor blades are of uneven length - the one extending forward is drawn some 8% shorter than the one extending back.

Eswube, I did notice that, and figured it was an error on the artist's part, when you don't really have a fuselage length to work from and have to go with overall length this is what happens. I am open to anyone else re-drawing the Rooivalk, as I am officially washing my hands of it.

No need to take it so emotionally. :(
But if You insist, I'd be happy to draw it.

Btw. That thread has reached 50th page. ;)

It's not that I am upset, Eswube, it's more that I am frustrated trying to get it right, and I hate drawing Helicopters. :D
And please, by all means, feel free to draw it, I would be greatly appreciative, if you would. Also, your work is wonderful, keep it up!

Also will be locking and Sticky the thread.
