Built in 1919 the Lewis Luckenbach was built for the company's inter-coastal trade trough the Panama Canal. The ship was taken over as an army hospital ship, Louis A. Milne.

I once heard someone say every ship was unique in some way, even if they were part of the same class. Guess that rudder is that ship's unique-ness.
